The Heidelberg Catechism, the 450th anniversary of which is celebrated this year, gained immense popularity in Hungary already when it first appeared there. As the Jubilee Year comes to a close we once again reflect on the role of the Catechism in the history of our Church.

Celebrating the Heidelberg Catechism

To celebrate the Heidelberg Catechism's 450th anniversary, the Hungarian Reformed Church accepted a new Hungarian translation of the text and published a special edition of the Catechism containing the full text in the languages of Reformed congregations in the Carpathian Basin.
