RCH Synod Elected New General Secretary

On 18 and 19 November, members of RCH Synod met for the second ordianry session since the New Synod was constituted in April 2015.

Interim General Secretary Appointed

The Presidium of RCH appointed András László Gér as interim General Secretary as of 1st July. The appointment expires on 31st December.

Synod Issued a Declaration on the Armenian Genocide

The Synod of the RCH issued a declaration on the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide at iand on the Protection of the Christians Currently Suffering Persecution

Almost There

With the election of the Synod Legal Advisor and Chief Archivist, the new Synod, constituted on 25 February, is now almost complete. The election of the General Secretary has been postponed.

Voices from the new Synod

All of the four church districts are represented in the Presidium of the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary, elected on 25th February. Members of the new leadership shared their vision and plans for the upcoming 6 years.

New Presidency of RCH elected

At its constituting meeting on 25th February the new General Synod elected its ministerial and lay Presidents for the coming 6 years. The outgoing Presiding Bishop Gusztáv Bölcskei has been succeeded by Dr. István Szabó.

Sociological Report about The Reformed Church in Hungary 2014

On the request of the Reformed Church in Hungary, Károli Gáspár University of the RCH started a research on church sociology in 2013. The first results have been presented to the Cosing Synod in November.
